From September 16 to October 17 2006 a coalition of organisations in Aotearoa New Zealand - including NZCCSS - took part in the Global Call to Action Against Poverty. In support of this campaign a number of New Zealand personalities talked on film about aspects of global poverty as well as poverty in New Zealand. The campaigning culminated in the presentation of a petition to Foreign Minister Winston Peters on the steps of Parliament on 15 May 2007.
